RULES - YEAR 2
     
IF YOUR STORYBOARD WINS:
     

If your Storyboard wins, complete an animation from your Storyboard idea and document your progress.
Provide your completed animation for screening at the Midwest Animators Conference & Retreat or KAFI.
Also, publish your progress quarterly on our website.
     
 

Year 2 - Multiple Deadlines 
Submit 4 short quarterly hardcopy Progress Reports

QUARTER POSTMARK DATE
Summer report – Deadline June 1, 2008
Fall report – Deadline September 1, 2008
Winter report – Deadline December 1,  2008
Spring report – Deadline February 1, 2009
Submit Animation - Deadline Apr 1, 2009
     
LET US KNOW HOW YOU’RE DOING (PROGRESS REPORTS
     
Winner is required to document progress 4 times throughout the year by writing a detailed Progress Report that will be posted quarterly on the ASIFA/Central website www.asifa.org/animate. To expedite quarterly Progress Reports, 4 addressed evelopes with postage will be provided to the Winner (see postmark deadlines above).

An e-mail of the Progress Reports will be accepted in addition to the hardcopy Progress Report.
However, an e-mail of the Progress Reports will not be accepted in lieu of  the hardcopy Progress Report.
This hardcopy Progress Report is required - and will also be retained in the Competition archives.
     
FORMAT AND OPTIONAL SCREENING OF YOUR COMPLETED ANIMATION
     

The Winner is required to Send a copy of the completed animation on VHS videocassette or DVD, to the Competition POSTAL address. Additionally, if the animation is completed using computer software a CD should be submitted containing the final computer file.
     
DEADLINE - YEAR 2 – Send Animation - April 1, 2009
     

Animation package must be postmarked before 12:00 Midnight  Apr. 1, 2009. No exceptions.
Deadlines are non-negotiable.
